Winter is where most people disappear.

The mornings get dark, the couch gets convincing, and "I'll start in spring" becomes the season's motto. Not here.

This is not a punishing shred or a quick-fix gimmick. The Winter Challenge is our mid-year recalibration - 8 weeks of expert-built training, flexible nutrition, and a community that notices when you show up (and notices when you don't, in the best way). This is the quiet work that makes you unstoppable year-round.

You don't need to be fit to start. You need to start.

Four phases. One direction: forward.

Every two weeks the training shifts - week one you learn the workouts, week two you repeat them with progressive overload. Your body never gets comfortable, and neither does your excuse list.

Grounding & Control

We build your base. Slow, tempo-controlled movement - because strength starts with owning every rep, not rushing it. Beautiful form over heavy weight.

The Shift

13 Jul – 26 Jul

The intensity arrives. Timed strength blocks and supersets that change gears on you. This is where the challenge earns its name.

Athletic Capability

27 Jul – 9 Aug

Explosive movement, unilateral work, deep core stability. The halfway wall is real - and you're going through it, not around it.

The Gutsy Peak

10 Aug – 23 Aug

Everything comes together. Complex compound movements, maximum output, full-body strength and flow. The June version of you wouldn't recognise this one.

What's a Celebration Token?

Pick one habit to cut for the 8 weeks - alcohol, refined sugar, fast food, whatever your thing is. Because life happens, tokens give you guilt-free passes for birthdays, anniversaries and special events. Earn more by hitting a perfect 5-day goal streak. It's the 80/20 rule, built in - cold turkey isn't sustainable. Moderation is.

I found Gutsy through my soon-to-be sister-in-law - the sister I always wanted - and wow, it was exactly what I needed! 6 weke, elke dag se commitment is klaar. My eerste Gutsy challenge en dit was die lekkerste challenge wat ek al ooit gedoen het. Dankie @Caries, dit was lekker om dit saam met jou te doen al is ons nie in dieselfde provinsie nie. @julipoeli en @tam_dex dankie vir al julle moeite en hulp met die challenge. Julle het oefen weer lekker gemaak en ek het uitgesien na elke dag se oefen al was ek hoe styf.

Laasjaar het ek Gutsy gejoin as gevolg van @michellefox, en dit is die eerste keer wat ek regtig volhou en uithou. Eerste Desember/vakansie waar ek actually 300g verloor en nie optel nie. Ek voel ek behoort, met ongelooflike ondersteuning. Ek voel my ouderdom en kinders sit my nie terug nie - ek kan byhou en my eie verwagtinge oortref. Om myself reg te maak vir die nuwe challenge, doen ek sommer elke dag 'n paar oefeninge uit die ab challenge.

Ons het 30/30 workouts gedoen! Nie 'n workout gemis nie @michellepretorius. Yay! Lekkerste challenge ooit! Thank you so much for an amazing challenge @julipoeli @tam_dex. I feel a lot stronger and created a good routine and good habits. Now on to the next @gutsy_official workout plan starting on Monday. Can't stop and won't stop now!

I'm not fit. Can I join?

That's literally the point. Every workout has modifications and the community has zero judgment. Come as you are.

What if I join late?

You're not late - you're right on time. You'll jump in at the current phase and we'll show you exactly where to start.

What equipment do I need?

All you really need is a set of dumbbells - ideally a lighter and a heavier pair so you can scale as you get stronger. No dumbbells? No problem. Anything heavy and easy to grip works: water bottles, filled bags, or whatever you've got around the house. Want to turn up the burn? A set of booty bands and a step are great optional extras.

How do the prizes work?

Show up, log your workouts, get involved in the Feed. One Gutsy Girl of the Week is crowned weekly; the Signature Challenge Winner is announced at the end of the challenge.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes - managed from your account at gutsy.global. No lock-in, no drama.
